ABOUT

WHO

WHO IS PEER VILLAGE?

We are a partnership of international teachers and young global villagers who collaborate on lessons in real time.

Our goal is to provide Peer Village centers across the developing world so any school can connect to fellow Peer Villagers.

Peer Village works with teachers willing to co-teach across borders.

WHAT IS PEER VILLAGE?

Peer Village provides the technology and lesson plan structure for international peer-to-peer learning.

Millions of Peer Villagers still lack access to collaborative education.

We are building physical centers around the developing world so any student can access Peer Village. With our supporting cast of collaborative teachers, Peer Village provides lesson plans that meet the standards of participating countries.

WHAT IS THE GOAL?

WHAT

WHEN IS PEER VILLAGE?

NOW!!! For the first time in human history, we can use broadband technology to connect peers thousands of miles apart in real time.

Teachers: Connect with Peer Village and choose a block of lesson plans that suit your needs and schedule. Once your class has booked a time, we match you with a partner class in the developing world to explore the subject material together through live streaming.

WHERE IS PEER VILLAGE?

Online: Peer Village is anywhere you can connect.

Offline: Our first physical center is under construction in Malawi's capital, Lilongwe.

We have partnered with Journeyman International to design our first center in Malawi's central region so villages anywhere in the country can attend. Our first center, City Cottage, is a purpose built amphitheater

allowing students - many for the first time - to collaborate on shared lesson plans with international partners via webcam.

WHY

WHY PEER VILLAGE?

Peer Village helps bridge the digital divide and stimulate new ideas, trigger insights, and shift perspectives.

Teachers know the barriers to offering broader experiences beyond their four walls, while students understand the internet is a gateway to the world. Despite much progress, the opportunity for millions of children to connect with their global peers remains untapped.

Creating access and partnerships with our international peers can shine fresh light on our collective global challenges.
